Our NPORS N304 Cable Avoidance Tools (CAT & Genny) Training Course is a practical half-day course designed for anyone carrying out excavation or ground disturbance work.

This course provides the knowledge and hands-on skills required to safely locate underground services using CAT and Genny equipment, helping prevent strikes, injuries, and costly project delays.

Delivered in line with HSG47 (Avoiding Danger from Underground Services), delegates will learn correct scanning techniques, equipment setup, signal interpretation, and safe systems of work. The course also highlights common errors, equipment limitations, and the importance of following proper detection procedures before breaking ground.

Ideal for construction, utilities, and civil engineering environments, this course supports compliance and safer working practices on site.
